A nest of tables with beautiful details…

Sometimes it's the smaller pieces of furniture that have the most character.

This beautifully detailed nest of three timber tables recently came through our Brisbane workshop for restoration, and there was plenty to appreciate.

Our lovely nest of tables before their restoration process.

Each table features intricate floral carvings, delicate decorative inlay and a warm timber finish. The kind of craftsmanship that makes you stop and take a closer look.

Bringing Out the Details

With furniture like this, restoration is about more than simply making something look new again.

It's about respecting the original craftsmanship, preserving the character and allowing those beautiful details to shine.

That beautiful intricate work needs professional care to keep its authenticity.

The decorative borders and contrasting inlay are what make these tables special, so maintaining their definition and character is an important part of the restoration process.

And while nesting tables are wonderfully practical, they're also a lovely reminder of a time when even everyday furniture was made with an eye for decoration.

Worth Keeping, Worth Restoring

Not every piece of furniture needs a complete transformation.

Sometimes it's simply about giving a well-loved piece the attention it deserves so it can continue to be enjoyed for years to come.

At Bywater Design, we specialise in timber furniture restoration, repairs and refinishing from our Brisbane workshop. Whether it's an intricately carved antique, a mid-century favourite or a much-loved family piece, we believe good craftsmanship is always worth preserving.

Restored to their beautiful glory.
