The use of timber in furniture dates back well to Roman Times, so we can confidently say that with some tender loving care, your solid timber furniture will be around for many generations to come.

With a few basic guidelines, your furniture will remain in pristine condition.

If you:

Dust regularly with a clean lint free soft cloth.

If spills occur, promptly wipe them with a damp cloth , please DO NOT  use any harsh abrasive cleaning agents or rough scourer pads.   These will destroy the finish and quite possibly damage the timber as well.

We like to rejuvenate our furniture each season, so every 3 months or so, use a soft wax, wipe on and gently rub off with a clean soft cloth.

Accidents do happen and if by chance any stains such as ethanol, nail polish, etc come into contact, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our very best to help you get your furniture back to its original beauty.

Some additional basic tips:

  •  Do not leave rubber or vinyl mats on the surface as it may cause yellowing

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to sun and of course rain

  • Avoid excessive exposure to air conditioning the heat and the cold can dry out the timber and cause cracks and splitting , these can be fixed, but of course are preventable.
